Dr. Shallenberger is a six time grandfather and four time father. He is one of the originals. He has been practicing medicine since 1973 and has been a pioneer in alternative/integrative medicine since 1978. He is one of only 16 physicians in Nevada that are licensed both in conventional medicine as well as alternative and homeopathic medicine. This allows him to integrate the best of both approaches for optimal results.
Dr. Shallenberger has revolutionized the practice of anti-aging and preventive medicine by developing a method to measure mitochondrial function and oxygen utilization. He has written two popular books describing this method, The Type 2 Diabetes Breakthrough and Bursting With Energy, and has authored numerous papers in the international peer reviewed literature on ozone therapy and oxygen utilization. He is also the editor of Real Cures alternative medical newsletter.
He is the developer of Prolozone®, an injection technique that has been shown to regenerate damaged joints, herniated discs, and degenerated joints, tendons, and soft tissues. He has just published the first paper on Prolozone Therapy in the Journal of Prolotherapy entitled, Prolozone – Regenerating Joints and Eliminating Pain.
The Nevada Center is a 6000 square foot full service medical clinic; featuring state of the art diagnostic; detoxification; and therapeutic facilities. Dr. Shallenberger has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. He is licensed to practice both regular medicine as well as homeopathic medicine. We combine these to offer the patient the best of both systems. Our cancer programs are specially designed to meet the needs of patients who have been newly diagnosed; are currently in treatment; or who have completed treatment. We have a comprehensive three pronged approach to the management of cancer. We use IPT to control cancer growth; energy production enhancement using oxidative therapies (hydrogen peroxide and/or ozone therapy) to prevent recurrence; and homeopathic medicine to increase strength; vitality; and immune function. Dr. Shallenberger is the developer of Bio-Energy Testing??; a patented technology that uses oxygen uptake analysis to determine energy production levels. Since cancer cells develop as a result of poor energy production; using this technology to enhance energy levels is critical to the long term control of cancer and the prevention of recurrences. More information regarding Bio-Energy Testing can be found in either of Dr. Shallenberger’s books; Bursting With Energy or The Type 2 Diabetes Breakthrough; or at http://www.bioenergytesting.com.
Dr. Shallenberger offers IPT for cancer. He trained with Dr. Steven G. Ayre in October 2002.
|I entered medical school later in life than most medical students. I had spent time after college out in the real world: working with kids, working in a bookstore, managing a natural foods department. While working in natural foods, I heard many people say they were dissatisfied with their doctors, but I realized that the problem more often than not was miscommunication. I had been contemplating going to medical school, and this realization helped that decision gel. I resolved that rather than complain from the outside, I would become a doctor and see if there was a different way to practice that would allow me to spend the time I needed to communicate with patients and find the best way to keep them healthy. In order to keep people healthy, I knew they would need more than just medications, more than what is taught in medical school. Health is not just the absence of disease, but maximizing and retaining the function we have.|
